David Kaiselgruber, better known by his stage name Redkay, was born in Austria and is an Electro, French House and Glitch music producer. He is also a DJ, known for his electrifying live performances that make him stand out from the crowd. Although he plays various acoustic instruments, he chose to write electronic music around 2010 and has released several albums, EPs and remixes since then. Redkay also won several notable remix contests and has been nominated for awards within the electronic music scene.
"Electronic music is a kind of music I never really liked before. Especially fast, hard beats were an absolute no go for me. I have been interested in music for a long time, since I have been learning several instruments. One day some friends told me about this kind of music, and as they bought some DJ Equipment I became curious and interested. So I did the same, bought some DJ Equipment and started practicing. But I also always wanted to be proactive in some way, that's why I started to perform as live act as well after a short time. I also started writing and mixing my own tracks, altough it was hard to find my own style. Meanwhile I produce a lot of Electro-House, French House and several variations of Glitch and Dubstep."
